As with most projects, the Jamieson House project came to Hub Design by referral. The Design process was multifaceted and required full project management from Hub Design to organise builders, electricians, tilers, engineers, plasterers and painters. All furniture, art pieces and spectacular lighting fixtures were supplied by Hub Design in addition to multiple one-off furniture pieces designed and made by Carmen herself. Along with full interior design and project management, Hub Design organised necessary structural changes, along with an engineer, to completely strip and re-shape the home to create a more open-plan and uncluttered space. The highlights of this design include; custom-made contemporary stainless-steel entrance door, custom LED handrails for the newly converted stairway and a secret doorway nestled into bespoke timber wall panelling that must be seen to be believed. The final effect of the design is clean, fresh and chic to match the breath-taking views of Queenstown.
